Please excuse the smoke covering the engine, it melted the line for the oil pressure gauge and sprayed oil all over my engine which in turn ignited

Thats all for now, let me know what you think

Unless that's a very faded blue, I've never seen that color before. Welcome to the boards.

Very nice setup! Clean up that engine though! haha. I like the color of the exterior :)

Dane- the car had to be repainted as the engine bay color is grey/silver.

Welcome to the boards. Is there a reason you are running a 2900 and a 44mm Tial?

HondaKiller 11-24-2004 08:56 PM

That baby blue is kind of nice, I think. The opposite of the neon green and orange painted Hondas running around.
And until I read the rest of your post I was thinking you needed a new valve cover gasket pretty bad, lol

Yea, it was repainted before I bought it. It is a nice color but there are a few defects so when the point comes for me to get a cage i'm going to gut the car and have it all resprayed in black... black = good ;)

Cause I am a sore loser :p

Actually the "overkill" stuff is in preperation for the g4cs (6 bolt 2.4l) engine I am working on but never seem to have enough money to finish.

I have cleaned up the engine again but I still need to get the coolant bottle and such straightned out so it still looks kinda bad.

Thanks for the compliments guys :)

Thanks, like I said, it isn't a bad color but there are some defects in it that bug me.

Thanks for the compliments guys, I still have a few issues I need to sort out with it. Two new ones I found today, one was that we had the first flurries of the season up here today and as I was hanging the 1-2 shift midway through a powerslide the car let out a nasty backfire that scared me half to death. It took me a bit to figure it out but it turns out the stock tach wasn't keeping up with the engine and when I shifted I thought it was at around 6800rpms but when i looked at the max reading on the safc it read 8180 and since I have the no lift to shift feature at anything more than 6500rpms and I was under full boost it let a few of the backfires from the no lift to shift out through the wg dump tube which sounded mean but was very scary when I didnt know what it was :p

The other problem is simple but annoying, my pos jvc cd player skips whenever i'm on the throttle hard, apparantly it doesn't like strong g-forces. Anyone ever have a problem like that? I've never heard of anyone else having that problem and i'm trying to figure out if its just my cheap cd player or if most of them do it. Like I said its nothin serious but it is annoying to be trying to have fun out on the streets after a long day at work if your music keeps cutting out
