Job offer - Tech support
I took over as the customer support manager this week at my new job and I have a position open in the department. We do customer tech support for paint sprayers, from the small plastic units at home depot to the $15k contractor units.
I need someone mechanically inclined (why I am posting this here), speaks well and is good on the phones. Experience with pumps or customer service would be a huge plus, as well as a 2/4yr degree. The position is in Plymouth and is salary with starting pay at $43k minimum I believe (don't quote me on that). Excellent benefits package and has been a great place to work so far, very laid back and friendly. Hours are ~8am-4:30pm. PM me if you want more details. |

Thats a decent amount of Coin for Tech Support on a Paint Sprayer.... How many calls do you deal with a day?
|
Re: Job offer - Tech support
You are on the phone about half the day, probably 50 calls a day max. The rest is doing research, etc.

Re: Job offer - Tech support
Can you verify the Wage?
|
Re: Job offer - Tech support
I should find out for sure this afternoon, but that starting wage would be very doable, higher with more experience of course.

Would you consider part time? I'm ME and CS.

Re: Job offer - Tech support
As of right now it is a salary position, so no part time. I'll see what happens in the future.

Re: Job offer - Tech support
What kind of training is provided for this position? For example, if someone went to school for hydraulics and has worked his way up from service and repair up to an inside sales position but has not worked with paint systems. Would there be training to get acquainted with the product line?
|
Re: Job offer - Tech support
Yeah, there will be full training provided. You won't be put on the phones until you are ready to go with at least the consumer side (the paint guns you find in mendards, home depot, etc).

Re: Job offer - Tech support
Well I interviewed a guy yesterday that we are extending an offer too. He used to work in one of our service centers and knows the contractor units very well. Pretty crazy that we found someone with that experience. Anyone that contacted me, I will let you know next time a position opens up.
If anyone else is looking for a job we have several open: http://www.wagnerspraytech.com/porta...95,358970.html Let me know before you apply and I can get the reference stuff in and I get a finder's fee if they hire you and I will split it with ya. |
Re: Job offer - Tech support
How did spaz not get this? Maybe he showed to interview without pants?
|
Re: Job offer - Tech support
I guess they had found this guy a little bit ago and were in communication with him when the other resumes came in, so they checked him out first because of his background.
|
Re: Job offer - Tech support
Also experience, this was actually a level 2 position, and the listed requirements included 3-5 years in tech support.
