PG SA/U Roll Call Thread
I saw talk of it on the PG SA thread so hell, I figured I would start it.
Who's in? I am not as familiar with the DSM setups, mostly evo setups so curious who all will be in this class? I have serious doubts about my car making it there, but I will do my best. I am going to be there spectating at a minimum. But if I race it will be SA/U for sure. So, who be in??! :) |
Re: PG SA/U Roll Call Thread
I might be, depends if i get to use slicks.

As long as you install a VCE and go FWD... Just a repost of the SA/U rules:
I'm in of course. I am really anxious to fix my daily driver so I can crank the power on the Talon and test! |
Re: PG SA/U Roll Call Thread
There might need to be more comment on evo turbos in there, unless they all the bolt-ons look stock.
damn it, they should let awd/rwd run slicks too! |

This of course could get really out of hand if a person were creative. |
Re: PG SA/U Roll Call Thread
There are all kinds of evo bolt ons. I think ATP even makes a 35r bolt on which is stupid looking but they make it.
I am pretty sure the rules for SA include a stock compressor cover so even many actual bolt on turbos (EF3, EF4 etc) won't make SA because they use the bigger comp cover. |
Re: PG SA/U Roll Call Thread
Murlo raises a good point, if not you could use a bolton 6266 even.
|
Re: PG SA/U Roll Call Thread
They are not going to limit you to a stock compressor cover in SA/U -that's what SA is for. The rules for SA state, "Compressor / turbo inlet must be stock size." SA/U mentions nothing of the like.

Sure you can bolt on a 6266 but is that stock appearing...ummm no, lol. The class is made for the larger appearing stock frame turbos basically. All of them should be MHI turbo based i'd assume. |

I know the "U" class was designed under feedback from a lot of us here to accommodate the most common type of turbo built car you would see on the street, while keeping it competitive for those who do have fully stock turbos (evo SRT MS3), in standard "SA" While I've seen nothing prohibiting a massive bolt on setup, I think the gentleman's agreement here would be to run in a faster class. I know I would if I had a 60lb/m turbo on a lighter car. |
Re: PG SA/U Roll Call Thread
I thought it was stock appearing turbo, but the unlimited part was everything else.

Re: PG SA/U Roll Call Thread
I know someone that has an Evo HTA FP Red for sale... just sayin'
...I classed my way out of any hope of being competative. Me and Troy will be holdin' down KS/U with high 10's... haha. |
Re: PG SA/U Roll Call Thread
^Hopefully.
There were more low 11s in the 130s last year, the honda guys will be the ones to beat in that class IIRC. |
