dropped of my car today at primo!!

well i dropped off my car today at primo to get my clutch installed and my drivers side axle replaced
had a short chat with mike and matt seem like cool guys cant wait to get my car back so i can break in that clutch and get her tuned finely on e85 and the 1600ptes i bought from halon

well today primo tore into my car and what they found wasn't pretty here is the story stright from mike

But I ran into some issues with your car. The front struts are bad, Where the shock mount mounts to the strut body is no longer attached. It rusted through. soooo tomorrow morning im gonna go take a look at it(ill snap some pics) and decide if i want them to do it, or.. do it myself seeings how im a little tight on cash since the wify is pregnant.. lets coss our fingers lol

well i got the struts to mike today and took some pictures of the carnage we discovered lol her are some pictures
the top picture is of the exploded clutch which i honesly dont know how happened its like it welded its self to the pressure plate and the friction surface on the back was broken up and the rubber cushions? idk what to call them, were all distoryed lol its quite impressive

the second is of the rust on the strut mounting bracket it was pretty bad..

Is that a Centerforce clutch?

Ouch on the shocks! At least some KYB GR-2 replacements aren't too spendy. Might as well get some lowering springs while they're out :)

i couldnt tell you when i bought it i was told it was a stock replacemnt.. i have never seen one like it it had a stamp on it that say dk me and mike could only figure it meant DRIFT KING!!!!!!! lol but yeah it was pretty crual lol and on the lowering springs, newborn babies dont like bumpy rides and the mn highways are realllllly bumpy this all this snow we got lol

well its been a little over a week now and my clutch is just about broken in i love it, i will be dropping off my car this thursday to get my exhaust don, i have a ebay downpipe that came with the car, but i will be having them weld a vibrant 2.5" resinator on to that then run 3" piping to my cherry bomb extreme which is 3.5" in/out i will post pics when done =) and sounds clips

Niiiiiiiiiice. I too need to do my clutch. I think 80k+ on the ACT in mine are beginning to show it's wear. What kind of clutch did you put in?

i ended up going with the xtd stage 4 6puck unsprung. It has a bit of a learning curve, but if you got a steady foot its a great clutch and wont chadder much. I love it!(just finished the break in of 500 miles and did a little launch making sure to slip it slow and it grabs awsome as it kicked my ass end out and spun all four for a good 10 feet)ps i used a oem TOB

i have an xtd stage 3 sprung 6 puck, its action is great but it chatters. if you dont mind the unsprung then thats definatly the way to go

well my car got and unexpected early visit to primo today lol my u joint connecting my drive shaft to the t-case busted leaving me stranded only about 6miles from Primo, so it will be there all week being repaired then having the exhaust installed
