What boost was that at? That's about what my 50 trim setup was making on pump, at about 20psi on the SAFC. I remember there wasn't hardly anything we could do to stop it from knocking.

Re: got the car dynoed

You can always lower the boost! ;)

Halon 06-18-2008 05:14 PM

Re: got the car dynoed

I had the boost controller turned all the way down on my setup.

Are you saying you are sure you could take me? We'll have to line em up sometime. Only smoke on the one pull. Shane was still tuning when I took these vids.

The smoke was from when he hit the rev limit. Not too shabby.

Needs real cams and ethanol.

Pretty sweet man! DSMLink? Great power IMHO. Now keep it running! My 2G made very similar power with b20g, FMIC, 650s, and SAFC, no cams.

cams for sure, but I decided not to go with e85. I had pte 1000s but I changed my mind and sold em. The car is quick enough, I don't wanna make too much power and start breakin other stuff. I'll leave that for the next owner...o yea btw, it's for sale :)

simplified mods list:
dsmlink
50 trim
680ccs
walbro255
afpr
dejon 3'' intake
2.5'' long route ic
ebay fmic
ported 2g intake/exhaust mani
ported evoIII head/cams
3'' turbo back exhaust
tubular o2 housing
38mm tial wg
modded 1g bov
joe p mbc
1g tb

Nice numbers :)

Re: got the car dynoed

Thanks. I really thought I'd make more power than that, but I've learned that I was just wrong and the numbers are somewhat average. e85 would be sweet though just to know, but I'll leave that up to the next guy.

Didn't this car make this last year for power?

HiImBrian 06-19-2008 02:33 PM

Re: got the car dynoed

^yea it made $265 last year on your dyno. I've changed my waste gate, manifold, o2 housing, intake, krank vents and fixed some boost leaks. I guess it didn't make as big of a difference as I thought it would. Shucks I guess.

Re: got the car dynoed

how much room do those injectors have to up the boost? im running 28psi but i kept the 1000ccs. gotta break 300

Halon 06-19-2008 04:09 PM

Re: got the car dynoed

Crank vents shouldn't affect your power up top at all hardly, unless your PCV is dirty and doesn't seal worth a damn.
