FS: 87 Quest 5sp, rusty but runs good $800
This is the 2nd part of my "moving sale".
1987 Chysler Conquest TSI, 5sp, 106k VIN: JJ3CC54N9HZ050408 All stock minus a few things - emissions removed (other than exhaust). K&N with stock MAS. This car has to move fast. I am not 100% sure on selling my 1988 SHP (found in cars for sale also) but I AM sure this needs to go. Car is located in burnsville. Body is terrible and great. I mean that in that this car is RUSTY. However, the places that AREN'T rusty are completely straight and shiny paint. If you are good at body work this would be a good project. Otherwise, it's an ugly DD or a complete parts car. This car ran great when it did drive. Wait, DID drive? Yes - currently not driving. Here's why! I tried to change the thermostat, but broke both thermostat bolts in the intake. Got one helicoiled perfect, but the other one I went too deep and too off-center, thus not allowing the thermostat cover to seal. I am 50/50 on replacing this. Other than that, it runs great, starts great, shifts great, etc. Also has a sunroof! New plugs, MSD 8.5 wires, new cap + rotor, cleaned injectors (unless i swap them onto the 88 shp), cleaned fuel tank + replaced fuel pump. Clutch is newer, I think about 10k on it. I bought this from mx3twinturbo over the winter if anyone wants to know where I got it from. Interior is great, leather is near perfect, and it set-up for an aftermarket radio. Few other problems though: - Pass headlight doesnt go down. This is due to corrosion in the motor connector. - P/Ws dont work. There is no voltage to the switch, so it's in the wiring before the switch. A bad connector at the fusible link is a likely culprit. I dissambled the switch and cleaned it, but lost part of it, which leads me to... - No master window switch ;) - Steering coupler is sloppy - Leaks. I won't lie, most everything on this car leaks. But nothing is broken, so replace the leaky parts and you're golden. I put 800 because I'd to like get around that as it is. If i replace the manifold, it'll be 100% driveable and reliable, so I will up the price accordingly. http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/pf...000804-700.jpg http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/pf...000807-700.jpg http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/pf...000810-700.jpg http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/pf...000811-700.jpg http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/pf...602244_923.jpg PM or reply here if interested. |

Well - I am parting this out now.
Backed into a rear fender with my other car last night. Whoops. Gotta love rain + night + tint + tight spaces! Combine that with the rust, and the fact that I need money FAST, parting it out only seems logical. Mods, if need be, move this to parts for sale. However, the car will be for sale in entirety at all times during the partout. |

Re: FS: 87 Quest 5sp, rusty but runs good $800
Was going to ask about it but decided I really didn't need to deal with another car right now.

I'm assuming you're talking about the fact that I backed up into it? And MustGoFaster, sorry - thought you were one of the "hey let's save every. single. starquest. made. group of people" |
Re: FS: 87 Quest 5sp, rusty but runs good $800
