2007 Nissan Skyline GTR
Anybody in here seen the new 2007 GTR concept model car? Looks pretty neat with a Infinite and 350z look.

Re: 2007 Nissan Skyline GTR
I think that concept car is ugly! The other concept they have is better in my opinion.

Re: 2007 Nissan Skyline GTR
1st car, I would puke on.
2nd car, I would buy. |
Re: 2007 Nissan Skyline GTR
AWD Twin turbo V6 putting down somewhere in the neighborhood of 400 pony's would make an excellent daily driver! :D

I too agree with the above statement

Re: 2007 Nissan Skyline GTR
The new design in the second set of pics is fucking hot. I'd buy one, jerk off all over the headlights, clean it up, wax it up, and probably rinse and repeat.

Re: 2007 Nissan Skyline GTR
Modified Mag has a section on it. I think it looks badass and I would like a BAMF in one.(for all you Dane Cook people out there). I also read that they wouldnt not make it a 5sp manuel, but some new shifting thing. i dont know but I think it look tight(2nd pics)

Re: 2007 Nissan Skyline GTR
The tail lights on that second pic reminds me of a cobalt ss :D. But I'd still buy one! The first one is just UGLY.
|
Re: 2007 Nissan Skyline GTR
The second one is what was unveiled at the 2005 Tokyo Auto Show. I'm kind of sad that the prices estimates are so high. $70,000 range. I'd be much more excited if they just allowed R32's to be imported. Cheap, light (relatively), and proven. Instead we'll probably be getting the complete opposite.

also, I like it that people think the japanese invented drifting. |
Re: 2007 Nissan Skyline GTR
Try using the skyline gallery next time. Find a pic of a '54. You don't want to play this game. Also, tell me who invented drifting?

Re: 2007 Nissan Skyline GTR
GM copys alot of things. The sunfire is a better "mini-stealth" than the avenger.
|
Re: 2007 Nissan Skyline GTR
Yeah, but so far GM is whooping up on the skylines in drifting! :p

Re: 2007 Nissan Skyline GTR
Maybe Skylines corner too well to drift:) This is all bull anyway. Everyone go get a Cobalt SS for $28000 and have fun, if you can.

or, get an SRT-4 that "4" stands for "4 billion ponies". anyway, it really is a better bang for the buck than a $7K more car with less everything. i watched 40 yr-old virgin last night for the first time. a couple characters said, "you're putting the pussy on a pedestal". replace pussy with skyline. ;) my quest will outhandle anything on the road in about a week. |
Re: 2007 Nissan Skyline GTR
Anything on the road? or any "stock" anything? Reason I say that is your statement is pretty bolt especially since I know there are quite a few road race guys in MN that have some killer handling setups.
As for the skyline. I can't wait till it comes out then hopefully the price on the R34 will go down. I'd import one if it was cheap enough even if it wouldn't be street legal. |
Re: 2007 Nissan Skyline GTR
First one is ugly!!
second one i would definatly buy for sure |
Re: 2007 Nissan Skyline GTR
Me and my buddy got into an arguement over this (importing right-handers) so i fired off an email to MNDOT, and they forwarded it to the state patrol.
And so long as it passed all safety and emissions it is legal and the skyline has airbags, and im pretty sure that with a factory exhaust it would pass emissions. So go ahead and import it! (so i can steal it) |

How many Skylines (32,33,34) are in america? quite a few I thought? |
Re: 2007 Nissan Skyline GTR
There are plenty of Skylines in America, some in MN even, but to import it legally is very expensive...or so I thought. If I am wrong here, someone let me know. I am sure Reid knows all about it so hopefully he chimes back in soon.

Re: 2007 Nissan Skyline GTR
I was talking to my buddy about importing cars while back, and we figured it would be easiest to just import the skyline here, and then buy a 240sx, and go register the 240sx, and just put the 240sx plates on the skyline. And then when you get pulled over just say you did some conversions. :)

You can import a R32 from Canada for pretty cheap now. If you do your own work and have a shipping connection, getting one here wasn't, I mean, isn't that expensive. Again, doing your own work you can get it to pass the smog check pretty easy. My father got our 1978 Caddy to pass MN smog without cats. You will need a tuner (F-Con, PowerFC, MoTec, etc) to detune the 'Line for shitty corn juice gas. After that you are home free. You can register it now because MotoRex did the crash testing of the Chasis. Before they did that you would have a bigger problem. You could have still driven it on the roads but mileage limits and special conditions applied. Some states wouldn't have allowed you to "operate" that beast on state highways or interstates. But that's the story on all race gas  |
Re: 2007 Nissan Skyline GTR
I was going to buy a 1992 Pulsar GTi-R but then I did a little more research and just to get one street legal would cost $30K alone besides the cost of the car:mad:

Re: 2007 Nissan Skyline GTR
Yeah, I thought you needed to change the windshield because it is thinner?
|
Re: 2007 Nissan Skyline GTR
Now that I think of it, my car in Japan did have safety glass, because the day that we sent it to the junkyard we smashed the windows, and the smashed into those tiny little pieces. So if that hunk of crap had safety glass, I'd think a Skyline would too.

Re: 2007 Nissan Skyline GTR
[QUOTE=ju-onDon't you need to install MPH guages and safety glass?[/QUOTE]
I know you don't need MPH gauges. I know of a couple cars that have been imported from canada that have KPH gauges. |
Re: 2007 Nissan Skyline GTR
As far as MPH guages go...ask Swanny about that:) Freaking Canada car. The windsheild shouldn't be a problem. Look out for the trolls. The net is full of retarded people (Supra or Cavalier owners) that will make shit up. "Skylines run 14s stock..." You know the crap.
