10 Second Pass on FP3052
1 Attachment(s)
Yesterday the Eclipse finally ran a 10 second pass at the track with the FP3052. The 60ft times were low 1.7s. After about 15 passes and a few issues involving crappy driving the car finally ran a 10 second pass. The end result was a 10.971@128.90 and it was backed up with a 11.013@128.33. There was no nitrous used, the boost was at 31psi, AFR was around 11.9:1, timing maxed about at 18 degrees and the car weighed 2980 with driver.
The mods are: Engintecs Built 2.0 (Ross/Eagle, FP2 Cams, Double springs), Quartermaster twin-disk, DevoTuning built tranny, 850cc injectors, Aeromotive AFP, Supra pump, DSMLink, Magnus SMIM, Spearco 2-216, MAFT, Zeitronix Wideband, KYB AGX, Falken Azenis 205/55/16. Here are the timeslips: |

Re: 10 Second Pass on FP3052
Thank you guys. Jakey, the engine has about 23,000 miles on it. It is my daily driver. It took a serious beating yesterday. I was revving it to 9000. The tranny and clutch also held up. The car took it like a champ :)

Re: 10 Second Pass on FP3052
Congrats again Vassil. I'm curious what the mystery piece was that flies out the exhaust. :D
|
Re: 10 Second Pass on FP3052
Duh. It was the exhaust wheel.
|
Re: 10 Second Pass on FP3052

Re: 10 Second Pass on FP3052

|
Re: 10 Second Pass on FP3052
Sounds like you've built yourself a quality daily driver dsm. It makes me so proud.
|
Re: 10 Second Pass on FP3052
Nicely done!
|
Re: 10 Second Pass on FP3052
really what was it the flew out the exhaust?
|
Re: 10 Second Pass on FP3052
The squirrel that crawled in there between runs.
|
Re: 10 Second Pass on FP3052
Slow the video down a lot and you will see it is just a bird flying across the track. Hard to tell when it is at full speed. Wierd coincidence with the backfire and everything.

Nice car Vassil! I knew it would run it. Now to get some better traction and see how low it'll go! |
Re: 10 Second Pass on FP3052
That is very cool, Im suprised at how many passes you have put on it without anything breaking, that is really awesome! And its your daily driver!! Congrats!
|
Re: 10 Second Pass on FP3052
Congrates! What exhuast are you running?
|
Re: 10 Second Pass on FP3052
There were probably 50-70 passes on the car last year. This year I have only raced it twice. Import day (3 passes) & Fun Day (15 passes). It takes it like a champ :)
The exhaust I have is a Thermal 3" catback, Buschur 3" downpipe, ghetto test pipe and FP 2.5" v-band O2 for the FP30. |
Re: 10 Second Pass on FP3052
Now you just need some drag radials. I just happen to have a set on rims I'd part with. Let me know if you're interested.
|
Re: 10 Second Pass on FP3052
no way. slippery tires = tranny saver :)
|
Re: 10 Second Pass on FP3052
I know this thread has been dead for a while, but I was wondering: does any one knows how much this car weighed when it put up these numbers?
