I actually ended up ordering up some stuff today, and found it all on JEGS... I ordered a 10 Gallon Aluminum cell, Misc AN Fittings, 25' of fuel line, And a oil catch can.

I hope to have it all by thursday that way i can get it in before the weekend, I will be picking up the EMS probably on Saturday and can hopefully button up most of my wiring before the weekends over, Maybe even see if it starts:biggrin:

Funny that you asked, Here are some new pix as of today, I have a couple more coats to put on but it doesn't look to bad so far.

Thanks to all that commented, After being at a bunch of events this summer and riding in everone elses car it started to give me some motivation to get this thing on the road.

Did you get your EMS yet? If not I have one or sale with sensors and everything at a good price. It's looking good! Is that primer or is the car going to be flat black?

It should sound something like this. Pending your cam size, compression ratio, port job and what you do for exhaust.

I haven't gotten it yet, but i should have it soon. If that falls through i will shoot you a PM.

It will be flat black, I have a buddy that works at welle and he was telling me that they make a "muscle car flat black kit" so im going to go swoop that up and see what i can do with it.

Your a funny guy you know your car isnt gonna be done before that... And the chances of mine being done and broken in before that is slim to none.

We can still go

Looks great, although that throttle cable mounted to the firewall is going to give you problems, like a non-linear throttle opening when the engine tilts a bit under load. Personally, I'd mount that bracket to the manifold. Everything else looks great, can't wait to see it out on the road. I'm also kinda glad you didn't have it done for the dyno shootout, I like my trophy.

GREASEMONKEY 10-15-2008 02:29 AM

Re: Something I've Been Working On...

I dont think i will have to many problems with the motor tilting, Its in there pretty solid. Does anybody else on here have it setup like this? Any issues?

I have all prothane mounts right now and i was thinking of fabbing up a solid front one this weekend but i dont even know if i need it. I will probably just make it and wait to see if i need it.

Re: Something I've Been Working On...

Lookin Good, I would also worry about the throttle cable on the firewall.
Go to the Mitsu Dealer and spend $13 and get an EVO oil cap!

I'm definatly going to make a solid front mount and see how that works out, And if it still needs it I'll make the rear one too.

Over the weekend i managed to get all the fittings and other misc stuff to finish up the fuel setup. I had my buddy who works at a steel company shear me some 2" x 60" 16ga steel strips. After about 45 minutes i had the brace done and ready for the cell to go in, Im actually really happy on the way it turned out. At the moment though im regreting not painting it, But i think im going to pull it off and throw a couple coats on it just so it doesnt rust away.

Other then that i haven't done too much else, I ended up getting the other Corbeau seat and a battery box but thats about it for now.

I probably would have had the EMS by now but i spent some of the car money on some winter fun..

More pix!!

Actually dickhead it is.

And i dont say ghetto fab lightly.
16g turbo... more like 14b, learn your turbos. (but i will take some credit because i did not check the turbo at time of purchase.)
Socket jammed where the balance shaft eliminator is supposed to be. GG.
Wiring hacks, missing bolts, missing xmember, ghetto fab exhaust, locks that were so crudded up they didnt work, missing HID ballast, No water lines run to the 14b turbo, cant torque a bolt worth a shit. YEah i think im justified.

HAHA Dickhead... Nice

Anyways like i told you when we talked in person and possibly even through PM's i told you i bought the car with that turbo, exhaust, Missing a shit ton of parts etc.. You knew there was a missing HID Ballast, I told you it was burnt out. Ah lets see the socket, Yea that was my bad but i figured it was stuck in there and it was doing the same job as the bearing that you would just spin 90* to block the oiling hole right? Water lines going to the turbo, Who the fuck cares i personally take those off all my DSM's and have never had a problem. Why dosen't your dumbass look at the pictures of my last car and see what the welds look like, Or maybe the kind of car I PUT TOGETHER before you feel "Justified" or start talking some shit..

I didnt give a shit about that car to be honest i bought it as a beater car and it needed a ton of work, The fucker barely drove when i got it.. I put my built bottom end in there because it was the last thing i had sitting around from my partout, And to be honest with you that car ran great after i was done with it. Then one of the rod caps came loose as i suspected and thats when i parked it and put it up for sale.

Everything i told you about the car was everything I WAS TOLD or that i knew personally such as things pertaining to the bottom end or what mods were done to it, ETC..

So hopefully you can take a look at the work that i do, Learn that i bought most of the car like that and fixed alot of things and shut the fuck up.

Don't forget you sold me some shady ass AEM Wideband.. GREAT CONDITION My ASS.. Wires were cut, O2 was bad.. So FUCK OFF becauase your not such a wonder child your self.

Thanks and Have yourself a good memorial weekend..

-Stephan

P.S. Here are some pictures of my shitty welding, That down pipe was one of the first things i've ever welded with a MIG welder.

Maybe we should place a bet sense you seem you can do better, 100 bucks to who can weld better. Shit I'll do whichever your most comfortable with.. MIG, TIG, Or ARC.. Mild steel or Aluminum.. Your choice :) Bring Cash..
