My guess is that Tom just doesn't have the 02 housing heat-shield on his car causing the fan to melt.

yeah i havent had that since the turbo swap. im thinking its about time to make a metal fan yea i said make. now wheres my tinfoil.

Just run a straw into your engine bay from the drivers seat and blow into it evey so often, that will keep things cool ;)

Or you could just drain the coolant. It's just extra weight anyway. And with less weight to pull, the engine will run cooler.

Hell, just pull the whole engine and only race downhill and towards your house.
