I was talking specifically about WTB ads. I totally see your point with for sale threads. Another good point to that is it keeps the thread creation down. Like me again for instance. Instead of making 2 new threads, I've just added to the one I've had up forever. Bump the post count to 1000 for all I care ;)

That's another thing I'd like to avoid. 1 thread = a ton of clutter. When you have a more accurate list, I'd just make a new thread so it's back to a clean slate.

And take out the link in your sig ;) There is no need to have that.

Think about it this way. The new guys like me are always looking for parts to fix their car and the older members are always looking to sell, so it kinda works out. Maybe i just feel this way because i cant look at them yet. But it would be nice to bump it down to 25.

I like the culture you guys have here and I think this rule helps keep it that way. Just 1 noobs opinion though;).

I voted to change it, I think maybe keep it at 50 post's to sell something, but I think people should be able to see what people have for sale. I just joined and i have like 22 posts and I really need to see if people have things up for sale that I need to finish my project. Thats just what I think!

The rules have already been set, I think. And at first I was a bit wary to hear the opinion of a n00b, however, this makes sense. To me, it seems a bit unfair that the n00bs can't even see the classified. I deffinately agree that they should not be able to post there until 50 posts, but ya know, hey, maybe Joe Shmo needs a Walbro 255 at a decent price and some one happens to have one for sale for a decent price, well poor old Joe Shmo can't even PM the guy to talk to him about it, because he can't see the thread to know it even exists! But I deffinately agree that we don't need the thread cluttered up with the mindless bullshit rambling n00bs [and sometimes non-n00bs] like to contribute to the classifieds.

I'm new here but i also agree with the above statement, it seems very reasonable to atleast be able to see/post in to buy something. Just keep it 50 post to sell something. Tht way people who joined to be part of a community and buy parts to mod/fix their car can get it done which would also open up new oppertunitys to seller also.

Well I would say you should have 50 posts to post up and buy something. But you should still be able to see the threads. That way you can PM someone and get details, without cluttering up the thread.

Well I guess let the majority vote win. If thats what people want, give it to em. Its not like its that big of a deal, life or death. Its a forum, I understand that you don't want threads cluttering up but its not like it would be THAT big of a deal. Who cares, why don't we all be whinny little bratt babies, a forum is here to post and help people out and be a community SO LET IT HAPPEN. Simple as that. There will always be ups and downs wether you can't post untill you hit 50 post or not, why not free it up a little and give everyone more oppertunitys, to fix their own car and help someone else fix their car. Just Cause some people have been here forever or just long enough doesn't make them better people sellers/buyers.

Yes it does. Generally I don't even bother attempting to do business with the newbies around here because it's like pulling teeth to complete a transaction with some level of professionalism.
