View Full Version : Best Job Perks
That don't deal with Pay or Benifits...
Do you have spectactular shitters? A on site gym? Places to eat? Great scenery ;)? What, other than pay and other compensation parts of your job, do you love about where you work?
And what do you hate?

Best perk for me would be having the ability to go anywhere (to eat or shop) by skyway so I never have to go outside if I don't want to. I can just run out and grab a coffee at any point during the day, and it's like 5 mins from me. Or I can run to DQ and have some ice cream, and that is like 10 min. There is absolutely everything you need at your fingertips downtown. At least for me there is. :D I don't think I would like working back in the 'burbs anymore.
Thing I hate least.... I still have the commute, but at least it's on a bus. :)
Heh skyway is full of eye candy, i'm sure Janna knows!!!

Beer Friday, High-Quality Foosball Table,
Last week my boss goes 'scheides, come check this out!' I walk over to his desk and he's sitting with an open box in front of him with two $125 bottles of Absynth in it...

Explain Beer Friday!! :D
Absynth? Isn't that the shit that we aren't suppose to have?
As for me...
On site gym with everything including tv w/ good sound system.
This is a Coffee drinkers paradise! All free and LOTS of it.
Who else works downtown... and where are you located?
I'm at 501 Marquette Ave (5th & Marquette, Old Soo Line Bldg), in December we move to the Northstar Bldg (so 7th & Marquette).

Perks:I have access to full gym...I have yet to use it though. I get to use company cars at will, so thats cool.
Cons: I work between two buildings/offices. Office A has cool people but the office is a complete hole. Office B has a great space but all the people are douche bags. The other bad thing is the IT dept couldn't even fill out their own request forms to save their lives. So in the mean time I don't have access to files/programs I need to properly do my job. The other con is I don't even know who my direct boss is, I counted and I might have up to 13 of them, I honestly don't know.
I'll stop my self there cause I could go on forever. Once I pay my student loans off I am soooo gone.
OMG, that sounded like a line out of Office Space (the part with having up to 13 direct managers). :D
