Man that is sad, there were some fun times in that car. First DSM that I ever rode in that pulled a 12 second timeslip. It wont be forgotten!
And yea he hit a deer a little while ago...

Mine wasn't that cool. I bought it for $260, drove it for 12k, it spun a bearing, I promptly crushed it, end of story.
1 dsm down, thousands to do.
Good kill CVD.

I remember when I first met CVD and saw his car at some sort of event at Elite. I never did get a ride. :(
May it rest in peace...
Yeah, I showed the pictures to my dad, and even he was sad, and he hated the thing.
The second to last picture was an impact with a deer at unknown speed. Somewhere between 55 and 75 mph during a WOT pull.
It stayed in action even after the deer incident, but that was basically the last nail in the coffin. The shell was worthless and I was unable to find another in acceptable condition. Hence pic #6, the car after it had been stripped of everything of value. At the end the body panels were given away free, I only assumed that those who know me knew this, so I didnt make any attempt to make it public. They werent worth the time and space to pull and store in my shed until they might be sold.
The cars best ever run was a mere 12.2 and best trap at 117mph. Both runs with problems, probably just a terrible batch of gas or massive boost leak or both. Either way, a shame to crush a car that still had so much potential, but I figured it was time to move on. Parts are still available. I'll update my FS post later today and reprice some things.
Hopefully I will find some time in the next couple of weeks to go through my video collection of all the good times had with this car and post them up.

That's sucks. One less fast DSM to be proud of. Are you done with DSMs? I would've never suspected that the car would run low 12's just from looking at it...thumbs up.
