View Full Version : Cedar Falls Oct. 29th
Is anyone else heading down to Cedar Falls IA on the 29th? This is the last race date I know of for any of the tracks around here. I will be heading out at 6am with a pit stop near Albert Lea to pick my dad up.
I am going to be working on my car Tues and Wed. Hopefully I can get the fuel issue figured out and crank the boost up. I am also going to be taking some rear camber out. That should help it get out of the hole better. I am sure traction will be an issue with the cold weather, but they do prep the track well down there. It better not be as packed this time!

Dam, that would be about 6.5 to 7 for me then. I can't. In checking their website, it's a race day. I'd probably go out first round so too far to go for me. If it were a test & tune day, i'd probably go.
If you guys are ever interested, Union Grove has open racing days pretty much until the snow flies. www.greatlakesdragaway.com
Wow, I might have to head over there later if we get a decent weekend and I get things figured out! Hopefully I can at least get a 11.5 or lower this weekend.

Yeah, we could maybe convoy down there. 3 years ago a buddy of mine went down there just before Thanksgiving. He ran the best time ever that day. The only problem with this time of year is that these trips usually have to be close to a last minute decision. Weather is pretty unpredictable. That and just plain getting motivated in the cold mornings is my problem.
You'll have to see how it goes on the 29th. If you hit 11.5 or better, you'll probably want to end the season on a good note and park it. I imagine that you'll be doing your test/tuning this week out on the back roads. What are you using for computer management?

Aren't they stricter at Great Lakes? Not that you guys would break an 11.5 or anything. :) :)

Damn you ladies must drive slow.:p Mapquest puts Minneapolis to Cedar Falls at 3 hours & 25 minutes granted I'm not too trusting of the recommended route in terms of time.

Where in Wisconsin are you, anywhere near US Hwy. 20?

Slow? No, but we are usually trailering a car (or two). 60mph is your friend.
