Most people dont realize the first person to enact(sp?) strict gun control laws was Hitler in the early 1930s. It allowed him to easily crush anyone who stood in his way.

Gun control is an easy way to control the population.

on that note, yes, enforcing too many regulations and rules is not the way to a free government. but there do need to be certain rules to maintain order in a population.

Maybe we should work on the stuff that matters. Maybe we should do away with unwanted babys and teen drug use. Maybe we should work on our world stance. Maybe we should stop caring about what gay folks are doing or not doing and worry alittle more about crime. Real crime; speed, not speeding. Maybe we could take care of the social injustice that would make a person feel that violent crime is the only answer. Maybe we could stop stopping. Maybe we could actually do something if we weren't so afraid of hurting a black persons feelings.

When will the masses understand this? LAWS ONLY AFFECT THE PEOPLE WHO OBEY THEM. How are you going to get firearms out of the hands of drug dealers/gangs and the people that use them for violent crimes? Passing another law to prevent a LAW ABIDING citizen from buying a gun is not getting a firearm out of the hands of a criminal, because criminals do not buy their firearms legally.

Here's a question for you, Conquests. Do you have any idea what the criteria is to purchase a firearm in the state you live in, or just in general? Do you know the difference between single action, double action, semi-automatic, fully automatic, magazine fed, tube fed or anything at ALL about firearms?

The people who want more gun laws are the people who are ignorant about them. Expand your mind.
