I am going to part out my 95 awd shell so I can get rid of it sooner. What parts should I take off that might be of some value? I plan on taking stuff off, and junking the rest. I plan on taking out the 4 bolt, for sure and other stuff, but what would ou take off if you were jnking the shell. The body is in good shape and I will probably take most of the wiring harness also. Should I take the doors, hatch and everything off?

Why not take the drivetrain out and sell supre cheap?? im sure youll get more money that way, and get rid of the car faster, I doubt youll get much for misc body panels.

All I need to take out for the drivetrain is the 4 bolt. I am not quite sure what else to take out. I haven't had too much interest in the shell and I want to get rid of it before the snow flies so I will just pull things off and tow it to the bone yard.

Have you really advertised the shell James? 2G shells are very hard to find and to be quite honest, I don't see any reason why you should have trouble selling it. I would not start parting it out if I were you.

I had it advertised on here in my 1st part out thread. I had it on tuners also. I didn't have many responses on here and the only ones on tuners were from kids whose parents didn't want them to get a project car. I could probably make what I want out of it parting it out as selling it whole. I want to get rid of it woon also.

I had it advertised on here in my 1st part out thread.

Could you post a link to that thread? The search function and I aren't getting along today as I can not find your first 1st part out thread to see the details on your car.

It was deleted because I posted up a new thread with the modified parts list. I posted up a new one because some of my parts at QPR were missing. It needed some work. Moon roof taken apart and cleaned out, thermostat housing connector soldered on and the gas tank re installed. I wanted $800. The car was rusting on the strut towers but didn't have any other rust on it. It is a black 95 tsi awd 5spd.

What all is missing from the car for it to be complete and operational?

accesories, tranny, motor ecu. I am not sure it would be worth the work fixing anyhow as it costs 800 for a used 2g awd tranny anyways. That, a motor and everything else might not make it worth fixing. I would have swapped 1g stuff in, but I sold the tranny a while back and dont have the accessories anymore. It would only be good for someone who totaled theirs IMO.

What would you take for it today the way it sits? I know of 2 people back home who may be interested in it. I'm heading home tomorrow so I could find out for sure over the weekend.
