If you are going to run the factory ECU, get the timing maps in the ECU changed. The stock 1G maps are meant for a 7.8:1 compression motor, going to 8.5:1 can be hard enough with the kind of timing the 1G ECU wants to run.

Well, when it gets all done and broken in, it will be paying a visit to you so you can take care of that. Hopefully to make it easier I have DSMLink, with a wideband and GM MAP hooked in.
