Ok so my car is broken. Im at college... kinda hard to fix a car when your 2 hours away... anyway. I was talking to dane the other day and was thinking of parting it out? I dunno if anything is worth it anymore.
this sucks, i go to college to start something new.. and my parents are on my ass about selling my car. I dont want to sell it at all. I know its just a stupid easy fix. and plus i know its worth more than what i want for it. what i want isnt much at all. but still parents > me. But that wont be the story in 4-5 years thank god!
anyone wanna like tell me a story thats shitty, maybe make me feel better? i dunno somethings help during shitty down periods in life. any advice? besides jumping on the anti-dsm bandwagon.

i will purchase said car for a crisp two dollar bill.
How about telling us what the problem is and maybe we can give you a solution to fix it?

If you end up parting it out, I'll take the block. I'm possibly even interested in the car if the price is right.

I parked the love of my life, a nice shiny 1983 vw gti while I was at school. I eventually sold it to my brother, and he destroyed it (drove it into a slew, drove it through fields, and blew up the tranny, etc. etc).
If your dsm ran, would you have it with you at school? If so, perhaps you can fix it during off times on the weekends? Otherwise, consider finding a place to get it running and then park it for a while, or just sell it. There are a LOT of nice dsm's out there, if you loose one now, you'll find another one, trust me!

If it makes you feel better I am in the same boat as you colin. Both of my cars are about 90-95% put together and they are both in minnesota and I moved to dayton ohio last january while they were both down for the winter. Now I have plenty of money to finish both cars and I am stuck here not being able to take the proper time off from work to do so. I have like 700 miles between me and my vehicles and the kicker is I also drive a cavelier z24 as my daily driver.....
hmmnn....dsm and my turbo'd teg OR the daily driver z24.........
:bleh:...i think its a toss up

I got hit by an idiot I knew in school and totalled my pride and joy. Had a 3k loan out on it, 2000k was left at the accident, I think I got 1500 in parts. I lost money on my project car and it never became a project.

2000k loan, wow, that is one high interest rate if it is just gaining and gaining.
