It is a sweet setup. Just think if you got an AEM on there and ditched that stupid chipped ECU and AFC/VPC BS;)
Illz whats your fucking problem, I think its cool that someone did something out of the ordinary, even if it doesn't have any power gains over a conventional setup in the end who cares.
i don't have a "fucking problem", I'm wondering what the point of doing something bass-akwards is, when to the casual observer, it offers no gains and creates headaches. Additional heat killing alternators (if not necessitating a move of the alternator mounting to begin with), no place for the PS pump, limited room for a proper intake, a bunch of spare room on the left side now occupied by a big exhaust pipe running through your engine bay instead of out the bottom, etc.
I'm not allowed to ask a question and comment on it seeming nonsensical? Do you understand the meaning of the word "nonsense"?
1) having no intelligible meaning
4) of little or no importance or usefulness
Good lord.
Either way a manifold had to be built to accept the T3/T4 and i personaly like top mounts for the ease of working on them.
there you go, that'd be a real answer, not "typical dsmer go play with your 16g"
with a top-mounted turbine, wouldn't that place the heads of your mounting bolts underneath?

Sure wouldn't. If you look @ the pics you can see it all clearly. The car doesn't run power stereringf nor AC nor dsid it have it befroe this setup. Everything clears the alternator, we have an intake that clears for it, etc..

Actually there will be less heat on the alternator. There is usually a big DP running right next to it. Most drag cars don't use a PS pump either, so no biggie there. Intake? Cut a hole in the fender well. Why would you want spare room? It isn't doing anything, so why not use it?
The heat on the hood is a valid point. For a drag car it will be fine though. Other than that I kind of like the setup!

It is a full garrett turbo, hence the bolts thread into the manifold.
How is there additional heat to kill alternators? The hot side of the turbo and the exhaust(which the downpipe usually goes through right next to the alternator) is far away from the alternator. It is obviously for more of a race application.

While you were at it, you should have turned it 90* more and made it stick out of the hood. That'd be cool. HEHE
Oh look at that shiny Magnus. Looks like mine. :)
