Wow I looked at the heading and was shocked.... Its sad I remember when I was little watching the news with him on it and I remember a couple months ago when he stated he had lung cancer and was going to semiretire...

I guess I was just shocked to see that he went so fast.

Wow, I didn't even realize that he had gone off the air. I guess I usually only watch NBC evening news but did always think that Jennings was an excellent anchor.

RIP

Yeah, it was a shock to everyone when he left the air, and he did his best to hide his illness. Quite possibly the best TV news anchor the US has ever had.

There is an excellent video about Peter Jennings on the ABC news website: http://abcnews.go.com/

Sorry I don't have a single tear in me eye for that commie, liberal, left wing canadian bastard.

He and his network have been twisting the truth for the lefts interests for several decades now.

With the millions of Lame ass sheep buying ABC's spin in every spot as the gospell thruth every night without ever looking deeper at any other news sources.

All I can say his time of judgement came today, hope he was ready!

Suck my balls, Howie!!!!!!!

Have a little respect for those that have passed on. We never heard you talk about him like that in life, so why do you have to in death. So what if he had different political views than you.

The dignified post would've been, "I never agreed with his views, but it's a shame he had to pass." Or did he do something personally to you????????

Wow, that's pretty fucking harsh Howie.... I would hope you wouldn't want people talking about you like that if you die...

I'm very very sad to see that he passed away so quickly. I didn't hear that he even had lung cancer. At least he was with his family and went peacefully. :(

Peter Jennings did his job. He worked for the media, he wasn't THE media. The way one's life was led is how they should be judged after death. Being callous because of his position in media makes you narrowminded and ill-informed.

I respect those who deserve respect, not those undermining our time honored and blood bought American Values!

Or I bet would you have shed a tear when Hitler died as well?

That's how some of the right view the ABC propaganda machine, get it?

Who's to say for sure they arn't right, we'll just find out in the long run.

So you can Kiss my ASS MatchBX, I'm alowed to have my own opinion, sorry it doesn't agree with yours.

Good god, every single damn thread on this site turns into a debate or argument in one form or another. Whether you agree with his political stance or not, he was one of the greatest anchors of all time. His voice, personality, etc. could have been no better. The man is dead and did more in his lifetime than you ever will, you have to repsect that.
