Well over the last two days my clutch didn't feel right. I would scratch or grind into gears from time to time. On my way home tonight I lost my clutch pedal all together.
Here's why! I know there is a recall on the transfer case...any chance this is something also? PLEASE! :o
The second picture shows the split going all the way up and around to the top of the bellhousing!

Time to find a new transmission housing or get that one welded back up.

I will try to find another tranny. Welding it would always have me fearing it happening again or the crack not stopping at the weld and continuing on.
So I take it no known issues with Eagle or Mitsubishi for a recall fight?
You can have that one welded. Next time put the dowel pins in your tranny!! Doh!!

The previous owner put the ACT 2100 in it. I am curious now to know if no dowels was the issue. Another friend of mine said the same thing! I am going to laugh at him (previous owner) if this is true...I will laugh when I knock him in the choppers for being an idiot!
Well this needs to wait to be fixed for the next couple of weeks anyway. I owe JET money for the FMIC and I think I am going to go with a performance tranny anyway.
Any suggestions from the veterans where to buy a BUILT tranny?

Shepard racing is one...also found dogboxracing.com, excessive autosports, magnusracing.com
Any input on dogbox or the others? I have searched many other sights and seem to hear mostly positive about them.
Reason I ask...if I am going to spend $2-3000 + on a tranny I want it to be worth it... :)

Dogbox is a really fucking beafy tranny. Straight cut gears, no clutch shifting. I was looking into the Magnus Dogbox but for the price I just couldnt justify buying it. Personally I'd go with a shep tranny. From what I have heard TRE is good too but the turn around time on them building a tranny for you is unbelieveable. Takes a long time.

If your asking about a dogbox, you don't need one. They are way overkill for street cars, and most drag vehicles.
Just call shep, he'll straighten you out. Very reliable, and quality work. Its who we recommend for transmissions for DSM's.
