I was the one that recommended Excessive Autosports in Sioux Falls, SD...I used to own Joey's(the owner) old Talon and had his built tranny in it...it was just like butter...had the GVR4 1st gear, spool, and double synchros...the only thing i didnt like about it was that the shift forks were still stock(scary yes but they were backordered i guess) but i didnt wanna replace em until one broke...theres nothing wrong with shep etc but i think Excessive might be a little cheaper...

Sorry to hear Kenny...just a reason to buy a tranny sooner :)

I was going to do it and now I have full reasoning with the wife to "have to" do it.

I am just curious to know who's who in the DSM tranny world.

After reading more about the DogBox straightcut trannies...I agree...way too aggressive for a street/fun car.

Sounds like you guys stand behind Shepard trannies pretty well. I am going to try and call him and Joey at Excessive today and see what can be done...can't imagine my tranny is a "usable" core.

Thanks for the input guys! Much appreciated.

Spoke to John Shepard...$1695 for a Stage III build. He said it will easily handle my quest to 500whp.

I sent him pictures of my split and all he could say was..."ouch!" ;)

Will be buying one of his cases as well!

Thanks again folks!

ps...Jet you will be paid before this is done! ;)
