Seems to be teh avg operating temp with a FMIC and 90 degree days. In traffic you guys seem like your cars would overheat if they are running at 217 on the highway, you would have to be 225+ in traffic, which is not good.

I wouldnt let my car run above 220 all the time. So either get some really good fans or open up the front end to allow more flow.

I tried water wetter too and didnt seem to do much ~5 degrees maybe...

I have on my 99GSX a FMIC, 2 aftermarket Mr. Gasket 1400cfm each fans. Front mounts such as mine aren't gonna help us at all at cruzing speed on these hot shitty days, in front they will hurt more than anything. My car at the time of the log, was only hitting 223 for 15 seconds and then bounce back down to 216. Normally I would run 210 or less. Temperature in the mid day here is +90 degrees out. Who knows how hot it is under the hood. Can't expect the cars to run <200*.

What is your temp guage at when you are at 223? Mine peggs on the red when I hit the gas.
