98 Eagle Talon Tsi, AWD, Auto, Big 16 G Turbo, with RRE JPipe, Ingen Intake, Brode UICP, 650 FIC Injectors, 255 Walbro FP, DSMLINK on a 95 EPROM ECU, Apexi N1 Turbo back, catless Exhaust system.

I am grateful for everyone's advice, but right or wrong, I've decided I'm going to have to continue building this Auto car up for atleast this summer.

Here's the question, given the specs that this car has a fairly small Turbo now, <a big 16G>, and has the dreaded Automatic, <worse than having cancer> tranny, would your next up grade be a FMIC to possibly get more timing, or go with the ZEX 50-75 wet NO2 kit to get a quicker spool going out of the hole? Considering that they both will cost ~$800 for nice kits either way, would like your 2 cents as to what you'd do, and why? <besides just sell the yellow "cancer car" for nothing asap">?

Many Thanks in Advance......!

Howie

FMIC increases horsepower all the time, probably 20-25whp on you setup. Nitrous will only add it when you push the button and your bottle is full and warmed up. I prefer to have it on tap all the time. A big reason is that I am too lazy to fill the damn bottle all the time, and it isn't cheap either!

Figure nitrous around $5 a pound usually, and you'll most likely be running a 10 pound bottle. Do the math.

So on lets say a 5 second hole shot, on a 75 hp jet, about how many shots like this can you get out of this $50.00 bottle?

Generaly how many shots can you get out of a bottle?

TIA.......

Skip it, found some good general info here:

Q: How long will the bottle last?

A: This largely depends on the type of nitrous kit and jetting used. For example, a 125 HP Power Shot kit with a standard 10 lb. capacity bottle will usually offer up to 7 to 10 full quarter-mile passes. For power levels of 250 HP, 3 to 5 full quarter-mile passes may be expected. If nitrous is only used in 2nd and 3rd gears, the number of runs will be more.

So in my case roughly maybe ~25 shots per bottle, so around $2.00 a shot?

~$2.00 a shot!

Screw that, I'm going the FMIC route!

Or maybe just get a new 20G..........:->

Thanks for the input......

Holy Crap does this guy have some major cash wrapped up in this ride!

Looks very nice, but I don't want have to get a divorce in order to pay for a better toy?

He has another funny page discribing "you are, what you drive" here:

Toyota Camry - I am still in the closet.

Toyota Supra - I use my spoiler to dry my laundry.

Volkswagon Beetle - I still watch Partridge Family reruns.

Volkswagon Cabriolet - I am out of the closet.

VW Jetta - I stopped smoking pot when I got a real job after college. I swear.

If you are thinking the 20g route, I have a nice setup for sale. You would want to go with atleast a supra IC though... The setup made 426whp.
