This scenario is totally killing the humans major advantage, intelligence! Give the humans sticks or something and you increase the ratio a ton.

If you could get the guys to not worry about themselves and "take one for the team" you could definately take the lion. The ol' self preservation (read: cowardice) gets in the way most of the time though. If you got a big guy around its neck then a few guys on each leg, you would be set. The left over guys could beat the snot out of it.

If I was a betting man, I'd rather put my money on 40 pissed off racoons. I think they could tear a Lion to shreds. But then again, they have teeth, and claws, and thier idea of self preservation is "kill or be killed".

Now this is against a Lion. If it was a Liger, then all bet's are off. :D

I think Enes is on to something here, the midgets just need to stuff 1 or 2 of the fatter midgets into the Lions so that it can't bite down or see very well and it may pass out or choke to death. If it still can breath and just sits there though, they still might not be able to kill. The lion has a thick hide that your ordinary non-super midget might not be able to harm. Also they don't weigh a lot, nor are they good enough climbers to crush the sitting lion. If they were to somehow toss each other into the lion like a little human torpedo, they also won't do any damage because unlike dwarfs, they are very bouncy. It would be like you getting hit by 40 low speed super balls over a few minutes.

If you take out the lions eyes with either your hands/fingers or some other way that would be a major thing. Then they could own the lion but it would be very tough.

Its really just a big cat, AJ could do his thing he does with cats and someone could hand the lion a rope, it would likely just hang itself at that point due to humiliation and the other 38 people could just chill and lounge.

Instead of people street racing, I say we start an underground ring. The event would be on Sat nights and pit various animals against "x" number of people. One could prolly make a good amount of cash doing this. But, one could also do a few years as well. Any takers?
