I was just wondering if anyone on here is willing to rebuild my tranny for me? (as long as its for a decent price). As much as I want to do it myself, I dont have the confidence and have never done it myself or even seen it done myself. I've heard of too many people trying to do it themselves and not having it work the first time and I'm sure I'd be one of them. If anyone is willing to take it up...PM me. I probably wont be able to have it rebuilt until next month or so...too much money being spent on school (senior year...prom...and so on...). What would the price range be?

FWD or AWD..... I've rebuilt pleny of FWD's, 4 of them being my own and a few others for other people. What's it all need as far as rebuilding goes? Is it broken? or are you just wanting to freshen it up with new bearings, synchros, etc..??

Rick Shindley: 763-263-2713
Even though like stated in the other thread some people dislike him some people like him.

I've rebuilt about a hand full of them. Pretty simple actually, not much to it. I'm sure you could probably do it yourself, just keep everything in order.
BTW: Whats wrong with it?

Oh, sorry. It's an awd tranny and I'm not quite sure what is wrong with it. That's why I need someone to take it apart and see what I need. It'll just be a stock rebuild on the broken parts. I took the case off the side and it looks simple, but there's way more on the inside, right? I'd have to go buy new tools and all that other stuff, so I just thought I'd let someone else handle this until next year when I'll have more money and can do it myself. Yeah, I was reading about Shindley also. Does he have good experience with rebuilding trannies? And how busy is he with helping others and all? Right now my current tranny wont let me downshift, so that takes away some fun, but keeps me away from trouble and I cant spend money on anymore mods, because of fear of the tranny breaking and then I'll have to find money to fix it all over again...:D. I'll give Shindley a call one of these days and see how much he'll charge. Is he able to get parts for it also?

Yes, he generally gets a shipment of parts from Mitsu on a daily basis. He's probably done more DSM trannies than anyone around. He is also very fast with the work, it would probably be done within a day or two.

I thought he charged 200 plus parts but I might be wrong

I've rebuilt my tranny a number of times, It's not as hard as you think, as long as you remember in what order the parts go, and have some common sense. Otherwise I'd be willing to work on it, and I get mitsu parts at a pretty decent discount....
