In order for the KA to be stronger than an SR20, you need to build the WHOLE motor. The SR20 is MADE for turbo. The KA is n/a, and not ment to handle boost.

So that is why I keep hearing the SR20 being called the glass bottom end?

Just put the KA24 in it boost her and let buck. More torque, less spoolup and just about everyone who has a 240 has an sr20 in it. Be different.

Sure, a stage 1 turbo kit might do 220, but you can keep the SR20 put a FMIC on it and be hitting 220-240. All you will have is better spool up until the KA is fully built.

The KA has a stong cast iron block and strong stock rods. A lot of people just put aftermarket pistons in the KA motor to low the compression and then go for big power. The KA has the displacement advantage over the SR20 also.
