Hey everyone. I know this is going to sound gay as fuck but there is a FWD dsm torn apart to hell in my garage.. and if I had more than 2 weeks to get it all finished up, I would be fine. But the truth of the matter is that I dont. The parents are RE-doing the upstairs with new wood floors so everything has to go in the garage by may, which means the car needs to be out.

If anyone will be in the area wed, thur, saturday or sunday -apri 20- 24 except friday -), would you be willing to stop by and see if we need a hand at all? Im not looking for anyone to dedicate themselves to MY problem, but if anyone is bored, in the area, or feeling the need to help.. I would totally appreciate it.

We have either a short block that needs to be assembled ( bolt on parts, head - turbo - manis etc. ) or a full long block to drop in ( will know friday ). We also have body work. As it stands, (tuesday) the car has been completely DA'd and is ready to be primed. Once its primed, we are going to take out the main blemishes but we are not going for perfection here. My dad is painting the car ( he went to school for it) but doesnt have much time to help out.

We have most of the materials we need however, I do not own a spring compresser ( struts / spring) or a decent impact ( sockets to fit either). I can pickup a cherry picker from work if need be.

Any help would be awesome. We will probably order some food and shit if people come over. If i wasnt poor, Ida paid someone to come finish the damn thing for me but since i am.. you know how that goes owning 3 dsms haha.

If you are capable of anything envolved, or just wanna lend a hand, I'd be very happy.

body work and an engine / tranny to assemble and put in

Generally people with these types of skills get paid good money to exercise them. A clutch job is one thing, assembling a motor is a whole different game.

Josh, depending on a few out of town friends comming up to the cities this weekend I might be down for helping out. If they don't come up then Jana will be at her sisters and I can help ya out. If they are up I don't know what's going on.

that would be awesome!!

FYI, mike is rebuilding the engine. I didnt literally mean rods and pistons. I need to bolt everything up to the block and put it all in.. and paint the car.

If I wasn't going to milwaukee I'd come down and give you a hand on fri/sat. But depending on when I come back on saturday I could stop by, after sitting for that long I'll have some energy to burn.
How are you painting the car? Krylon camo job, you know you wanna :)
