Just as the title says, anyone tried/heard of it? Got the idea from looking at a 3000GT VR4. I was thinking about having the 2 Y-pipe in from the turbo and Y-pipe back into my upper IC pipe. What do you think? Maybe an alternative to a FMIC...

people have welded 1g intercoolers together to make a fmic but have never heard of anyone wanting to use 2 side mounts. Where would you mount the other. It doesn't sound like a geat idea to me.

It might be an okay idea if your DSM is twin turbo. Is it? Now stop that.

Sounds like a dumb idea with about 15 feet of intercooler piping to me.

Dejon Tool used to have a dual smic setup like you are describing. It had a Y pipe and about 18' of tubing...I saw pics of one &there was IC tubing everywhere! Almost better off just going fmic, or even air/liquid IC if you want something different....think about all the possible boost leaks! Gahhh!

yeah, I have 2 SMICs laying around the shop and just started thinking...or maybe it was the alcohol...

The pressure drop from those 2 shitty cores would be bad.

We dynoed two VW's... One with a K04 and a fmic, and one with a larger turbo and all the supporting mods with a dual sidemount(professional) setup.... The fmic K04 setup held/made more on the dyno.
