Bah, 1/2 the people with fast cars won't be there, just like last year. I think a low 11 will give you a good shot. A 10 should be a pretty sure bet. Not like you have to worry anyway Chris, a 4g64 isn't eligible for quick 16, so Nash and John are the only one's from our group that could go for it.

When you know shep and Curt Brown are in the class though, you know better that you're not gonna stand a chance at winning.

Yeah, and the Buschur starion and orange hugger car. Curt Brown parted out his car though, so I don't know if he will be there. The shell is still for sale last I heard. I am not sure if he is going to something new or not.

Yeah I read about the 4g64 thing, that seems kind of odd, but I guess Buschur can do whatever he wants...I guess Marco won't be running in the quick 16 either?

I was thinking I would try and run in it and hope that no one challenged my engine size, then I remembered what my license plate says ;) Probably wouldn't be fast enough anyways, lack of funding is hurting my modding progress.

Some people are forgetting the main point of the shootout. Have some fun and get that once a year chance to chat with people you've met either at the SO or on some of the forums. Shit look at what I drive. I am just going for the fun of it all!

AJ, I am with ya on this one. Racing is only half the fun of the SO. So many random people to meet down there..

Yeah and don't forget the scooter competitions.

Who cares about winning. We already know we won't win crap. Qualifying and getting to lose to something like Sheps car is fun enough. I wonder if the 4G64s can run in DSM Elim and the other classes though. DSM Elim is a tough class, thats where your going to run against some true street cars that are capable of 10s without nitrous with a full interior.

Are any of the local EVO guys going with us this year? I don't follow the EVO boards at all, any idea if there will be a big EVO turnout besides the old school DSM guys who bought EVOs also?

If there is a miracle, me and Mara(2001 DSM Shootout Home Depot Award winner) might have 1 of our POS DSMs back running again by the Shootout. Or maybe if Allah steps in, Momin will actually have his DSM running and goto his first shootout.

I think 4G64's are ok for Q16 and brackets, but maybe not the other classes? Doesn't he says 3S's and Mirages are welcome for brackets and the Q16? So I can't see why a 4G64 would be a problem.
