Crap, I also forgot to ask what The difference was for the type s, and the rs, and the type r. Isn't the type R for higher pressure? What bov works best in what psi area? Thanks guys.

I believe that the Type S is the discontinued model which is geared as a more versatile blow-off valve. I believe the Type R is geared for higher pressure applications. The Type RS is the new model to replace the Type S but I believe it only comes available in a vented configuration.

What not just call up Elite, SLS, or QPR to order a blow-off valve?

$187 for a Type S is not that cheap, I have seen them all the way down to $175 shipped before.

Well, I was stating that I think that price was higher, because it comes with the elbow for a 1g. That way, no one needs to weld anything. I figured the type s is discontinued, and replaced by the RS (that's the silver one, with the blue bell on it?) but I heard that with the 8 holes it has, the RS is louder then the other. I want a bov that sounds nice, and not too loud. I don't need the whole neighborhood hearing what I have.

I look at that, and I don't understand what it is for... I have a Type S, I got the universal one, re drilled the holes on the 1G BOV flange(they are closer together than on the 1G valve), and voila. Yes I am venting mine, but you should be able to get the original recirc tube from the stock BOV to fit onto the Type S. No need to pay more for something that you don't need. Extreme PSI has a good price on them and doesn't charge shipping on anything from what I remember. And stay away from a Type R, unless you are going to be running 35 pounds of boost, then just buy a Tial.

Ok. I was gonna have the MAFT moved towards the intake manifold, so venting won't hurt anything. I will be venting. Where is this website you speak of? Also, where might I find a flange that I can weld to a bigger charge pipe, for this bov?

Check with Elite and QPR also. They can usually match prices or get really close. Support the DSMStyle supporters!

one thing i would never buy on ebay is a knockoff mechanical item, (i.e item with moving parts) when you have an inatimate item like a FMIC core or Downpipe theres not much that can go wrong, but when you have a knockoff mechanical item theres a lot that can go wrong because their are moving parts if the BOV doesnt open or causes damage to your turbo then your our a turbo and a Bov and what else could go wrong. If i would buy like a bov or safc etc off of ebay then i would go for a name brand item.

I have installed several Blitz's on customers cars. I like the Greddy Type S a lot better. The Blitz is really small and seemed to be cheaply made.
