What material does Alien use? It looks like the flange is different than the runners. What thickness is it? The #1 runner turns very quickly after it comes out of the head. I don't even think it is straight in the beginning. I like the polished one a little better where the runners come together.

Archer used to offer a warranty on their tubular mani's too. They may offer to reweld anything that cracks, but that is a PITA. Do a lot of research before you decide.

If they aren't around in 6 months, then a lifetime warrenty doesn't mean much.

Do a lot of research before you decide.1/2 inch carbon steel flanges, 304 stainless tubing. 321 flanges and tubing are available, but the price goes up. If I remember correctly (and I may be wrong on this) they said it was 8-gauge stainless tubing. I have some more pics below that show the thickness. I also have a pic of how the runners exit the head flange as Jet has a concern about the runner turning too quickly.

Like Shane said, if they go under, the warranty is going with them. I've never really had any reservations about them or my DNP cracking anyway, if it cracks I get it fixed. Wether it's warranty or I pay somebody some $$ to fix it. It's one of the "risk" I'm willing to take to get performance. Just like anything we do to our cars to make them faster, it's a risk we are all willing to take. Do I want it to crack? NO. If it does, I'll get it fixed.

My DNP manifold cracked, I had Raptor fix it and moved on.

Yeah, #1 looks a lot better from that angle. I would upgrade to the 321. The other one will definately crack. I do like the WG coming out of the collector, that is where it should be at. It looks like one of the better designs that I have seen.

AlienAuto said they won't warranty the 321 from cracking because they can't get it in the 8-gauge tubing like the 304 they are using.

I am still looking at other options for manifolds also. Scott from VPE called me about a month ago to see if I would try a proto-type tubular manifold they are looking to build. I also talked to Raptor about putting one together for me, but................ HINT, HINT.

Justin @ AlienAuto told me that each runner flows 245cfm.

Wow, so it will be laggy? :)

Wow, so it will be laggy? :)I have no idea. I'm about ready to line them up, start throwing darts at the them and see which manifold it it sticks to. :p

I'm sure there may a slight delay in spool-up, but I wouldn't expect it to be any worse than the .82 a/r exhaust housing it will be feeding.

VPE is working a manifold design right now that will be one tube diameter smaller than what AlienAuto is using. I'm waiting to see it.
