I'm not so sure my parents would cosign anyway. One would get turned away, and I doubt the other would say yes. Loan is pretty much out of the picture the more I think about it. Looks like i'm just going to push my luck with the beater some more...only a few more months left anyway.

Yea high percents on interest is where it kills you. You end up paying double for the car in the end. Thats why Im not to happy with loans, but sometimes you just have to go that route, or pay it off faster and youll be ok.
Why not just stick a couple hundred into the beater and fix the most important stuff and wait until summer to either fix the rest or fix the 0G.

Even though used car interest rates have climbed in recent months, killer rates can still be found. My parents purchased a 2002 Alero with 22XXX miles, 2Dr, loaded, remaining factory warranty for $9500 over Christmas and were able to secure a 3.9% interest rate. When I purchased my S-10 in August of 2003, I secured a 3.75% rate and that just shows that even though rates have climbed since, looking hard will earn you a good rate.
