Pull the head. If there are marks on the other pistons from contact with the valves, then the 1 tooth off was problably the reason.

Hard to say from the pic, but it looks like the spring is still compressed quite a bit.
I would say the valve stem is bent and that's why the spring/retainer is still in place. The valve head was probably struck by the piston, bent the stem and then broke off to do the rest of the damage.

Do any of the other followers seem loose? If so, then those valve are probably bent too.

I went out to the car and checked the others.They all seem to be ok.

I would either start taking that engine apart to see what's salvagable or start looking for another engine. :(
