Ok, so battery died on my like 6 times today, and then when it was just idling in wendys parking lot, it turns off. Fuel pump (hardwired) fuse right off the battery was blown. So i replace it (30A), jumped it, and it starts for like a half-second, then blows again. Anyone have any ideas? I think the battery is shot too (anyone know a cheap local place that wants to sell an optima?) since it didnt take a charge after driving around, and the altranator is brand new.

Charge it over night... I wouldnt rely on the car and driving around to fully charge the battery. Unless your going on a few hour trip.
Im not sure what is causing the fuse to blow, has to be how you setup the wiring.

Sounds like you are grounding out, check the wiring at the tank area. Also the fact that the car is 'draining' also leads me to suspect you are grounding out somewhere.
Which method of hard wiring did you use?

How is the fuel pump? if you unplug the pump will the fuse still pop? if so than its for sure the wires.
