Has anyone run one of these? I know they're been fairly hard to get ahold of recently and see that Import Evolution has a few in stock so I was thinking about ordering one. I won't be using it for quite a while but was thinking about ordering one since they're available. The fact that they are a bolt-on FPR is the main reason why I was thinking about ordering one.

Well from what I've seen, I jumped to a conclusion way too early. Every recent piece of information I've been able to find suggests that the Charged Air FPR is the same thing as the Full Throttle Speed & Style FPR.

They use a cheaper diaphram than the SX and Aeromotive FPR's. The diaphram does not like race gas and will begin to deteriorate when using it. It is really easy to use the Aeromotive setup. I would recommend that, along with most everyone on the board making over 400 whp.

i don't think mo or cher either have them. and i'd say they make adequate power.

So I guess I'm confused then since I repeatedly read about how a 255HP and even the 255LP will over run the stock FPR.

It depends on the car. My 255HP over ran my stock FPR (tried 4 of them), so I had to get the Aeromotive. Some people run a 255HP just fine, it depends. A 255LP should be fine though, I would just get that and not worry about it for your setup.

Try trading with someone. I traded my denso 190 for a 255hp. Either that or SLS might swap if it is new. I am sure there would be a slight restocking fee though.

The normal 255 and 255HP will have the same ability to overrun the stock FPR. If you have a good enough tuning device, it doesn't matter if it overruns it or not. Stock O2 sensor closed loop function should be able to compensate for any wackyness of overrun, if the your tune at idle/low throttle is close enough. I don't know what the big fuss over overruning the stock FPR is all about on the internet. Most of the people who complain about it probably have some other problem going on, overrun isn't going to cause knock, worst case your car runs a little rich. When you hack a MAS or run a 2G MAS on a 1G or running larger than stock injectors, you need to also compensate for that. Look at the SRT-4, they run 58psi all the time. Doesn't go up or down with vacuum or boost. It is a cheapskate factory system, but you can run a high base fuel pressure and make it work.
