Hey guys I'm gonna pop in here with another stupid question. What Gm MAF sensor are you using?, and are there any articles on the install?

I have a gm maft in blow through and I love it. The 2g mas is sufficent for alot of power but it is still a restriction and it is very bulky and karmen vortex maf's are a poor design IMO. If you have the money i'd go for a gm maft.
Why do you think Von Karman sensors are a bad design?

Thier really restrictive, and if you get too low of airflow through them (hacking the mas too much) the air going through the metered section doesn't have enough speed to make the vorticies consistantly and it gets an incorrect reading and if you get too much airflow through them it also has issues creating and counting the vorticies consistantly (mas overrun)
A hotwire mas or vpc (map sensor) system is much less restrictive and consistant IMO.

I am also using a 3" sensor. If you are running draw through a 3.5" sensor wouldn't hurt if you have a big turbo but 3" sensor would be more suitable for blow through with your average 2.5" ic piping. Running a 3.5" sensor with 2.5" piping is too much of a transition too quickly IMO and wouldn't help very much.
As for the install are you running blow through or draw through? If your doing draw through you just stuff a 3" filter on the inlet of the maf and the maf should fit right into your intake tube just like the stock mas. If your doing blow through you just need to physically find room for it in your ic pipe (which will obviously vary depending on your current mods and remeber to figure in the length of the couplers) and then cut the pipe and use 2 renforced silicon reducers with t-bolt clamps.
