im looking to find a car thats been in an accident to fix up and use as a winter car to save some money over buying a car with a good engine and perfect body. any suggestions on where i should look to find one?

Auto repairables in the Star Tribune classifieds. If you just watch around there are tons of decent cars under a grand that would make a very reliable winter beater. Last I checked up here in Duluth there were 3 Toyota Tercels ranging from $300-1000, and I know a guy willing to sell his nice condition '90 NT DSM for like $600.
