It's all relative. How many people on here thought the world was coming to an end when Mitubishi had all of it's recall problems, and Daimler backed out of the deal. Ok, now imagine that same feeling, but instead, you don't give two licks about some foreign car company, but your soy bean crops could be in danger. Like I said, it's all relative.
Thank you Mark!

The comment about how many people responded is the only reason I am going to say anything. There are a million sad situations in this world, if you expect people to all react to everyone, you will be waiting for a long time. The farming industry is obviously important to you, good, you should be concerned, don't be annoyed that everyone else isn't. People choose their own paths and are somewhat in control of what happens to them and how they deal with it, if it is bad every year, they should get out of it. My dad farmed for 3 years, did real well for two, got destroyed the third by hail, was smart enough to get out and get into something else. There are plenty of bigger farmers that do well and as Chris mentioned, they aren't the ones complaining. Do you want to hear me complain everytime I hear from the doctor? Will it help? No. Do I let it bother me, definately not. If you have chosen your path and you complain about what is happening with it, then you really need to get a reality lesson. Even the few things we supposedly don't have control over, we do and that is by how we deal with them. The sooner people learn that and quit complaining about setbacks in life, the better everyone will be.

And for the record, I do care, but I don't believe a big reaction is going to it is going to help. It only perpetuates Misery. The people who are capable of rectifying this are certainly aware of it and working on I am sure.

This goes with that whole Fish issue, where those big ass Fish are working there way up from the south, and are wrecking all the rivers, etc. as well as killing people.
Meaning they eat plants that are vital to the echo system, and they kill people because they weight like 80lbs. and like to jump out of the water when they get scared and boats passing by is one of those things that scare them. And there's been several instances where people on jet ski's, etc have been knocked unconsious and died. It was in the News Earlier this Summer.

The reason I brought up this topic originally was to hopefully stimulate some good discussion. I realize I say shit sometimes that I shouldn't and for that I apologize. The frustrating part about being an agricultural oriented person is watching agriculture in general be shunned upon by so many people because they are completely oblivious to what's going on around them.
*Please make note that in no way whatsoever am I referring to anyone who has posted in this thread.

Yep, definitely a similar situation along with the snakehead fish found in Lake Michigan. (At least I think that's where they were found)

I was just expecting something much worse because of the way it was described in the first post. I dunno, no one said to "Take a moment and reflect back to their problems when there are worse ones out there" when the mitsu problem came up. I mean ya obviouslly this is a problem, but when i first read this post, the last thing I was expecting was a story on dieing Soy
