j/k
Now that I have your attention, I have a question.
How hard is it to turbo a car that is naturally aspirated from the factory? (Such as a five liter mustang). I'm trying to decide whether to fork the money for new heads or whether to try a turbo setup instead. Also, would it be better for me to go single or twin?
Thanks

Single is cheaper. The hardest parts about turboing an NA car is usually making a manifold/header to hold the turbo(s) and doing something about the fueling.

Why not just get a supercharger instead? It'll be easier, but not as fun IMO....haha. Yeah, I think it would cost ALOT of money if you want to go TT...but it would be really cool...
honestly, best thing would be to get one of the superchargers that replaces your intake manifold, but its not intercooled then.
Or get one of those that look like a huge alternator, then you intercool it and you are better off that way.. ..
Turbo's are nicer, but $$$ is way way too much..

Id go with a Vortech SUper.
Lot easier and cheaper.
Can be just as fast.

Fuel won't be a problem. Superchargers are nice, but expensive and not as easy to work with. The thing I like about turbos is that you can change your boost so easily, plus theyre more efficient. I guess I was kinda thinking of putting together my own budget turbo setup, so it would probably have to be two cheaper turbos.
Enes, the superchargers youre talking about are called roots-style blowers. They create a ton of immediate torque, but don't make a very well top-end (which is what I'm looking for).
Thanks for the replies all, keep em comin :D
sell the v8 and buy a 4g63 and stick it in there!!!

If you want instant torque get a roots style and have not much topend. If you want power lag and a powerband that looks like a VTEC Honda then get a centrifugal supercharger. If you want something better than those 2 options, doa turbo.

I'd go smaller twins on that setup.
I always tend to choose efficent over cheap though.
You could always buy the heads and continue to spray on them, and then sell them later when you have a 'kit' put together.

You'll need good flowiing heads when you go turbo so I'd get the heads first then peice a turbo setup together.
