I'm milliseconds away from taking a 10 Lb sledge to my motor or sticking a wick in the gas tank.I cannot get rid of this fucking "lifter"/HLA tick.I've tried every brand/weight of oil around and I've cleaned them several times. When their cleaned or the oil is changed, they'll stop ticking for a day or so.I'm thinking of A: Modifying the pump housing to bump up the pressure or B: Making non-hydraulic lash adjusters.

Anyone have any ideas? Every time I get gas, I think about pumping a few gallons into the backseat and lighting it.

BTW I believe it came stock with the larger oil hole HLAs(the hole is 2-3mm diameter)

The oil holes are about 3 times larger than other DSM HLAs I've seen.I had it at Mitsu a handfull of times while under warranty for the tick, they may have upgraded them.

You should have the new version of lifters. Even my stock ones with 200k miles only tick on startup for about 30 seconds and then the oil takes care of them. Mobil one ticks alot compared to syntec. Thats what I use.
