I will say this, my roommate Dave thinks that Iraq was hell, but he'd go back in a heart beat because he knows that they need our help. Whether or not Iraq realizes that Iraq needs help is another question.

Wow Tom, I didn't even believe you were that ignorant! The separation of state and government was not put in the constitution like you think about it today. They just did not want it to be one in the same like a lot of governments before that (Greeks, Romans, ect). If you would have paid attention to history class, you would realize the influence christianity had in our government.

How is this going to make any money for Bush? We free Iraq, give them a capitalist government so they won't have to be a part of OPEC anymore. They can sell as much oil as they want, which will lower oil prices and LOSE money for Bush!

Someone said in this forum that he has less money then kerry, that is a good point but look at the flip side. Stem Cell Research is another prime example of why bush should be dragged out in the street and shot. Stem cells are the key to curing MANY diseases, including many forms of cancer, bush is not approving the research in order to use the stem cells. Why would he be doing this??? well he is a strict christian that is against abortion, the thing is is that the stem cells that they would be using are not after the baby is born but a womens eggs. so how is it against the morals of the christian right if it is not aborting a fertilised egg? these eggs could be used for the stem cells to create a liver, a lung, or any other vital organ that would need to be replaced. WTF Bush, why would he be stopping research that would be saving lives? Think about that if you have a family member that has cancer and is going through the pain and anguish of radiation and chemotherapy.
He is in the process of signing a bill to stop freedome of speech over the airwaves of radio saying that you cannotspeak of certain things. are we seriously going to let him do this.

The only thing we are forcing upon/placing in Iraq is FREEDOM, last I checked that wasn't such a bad thing.Yes, for a limited amount of time the US may be able to "steer" the Iraqi government in the direction that best fits our interests, but in the end, the Iraqi government will be elected by Iraqi's.

There is no such thing as an unbiased opinion, by virtue of human nature, any view any human can hold is biased in some way.The only unbiased look or view is from pictures and video.And even those can be be biased via being taken out of context.I recently have been watching a series of shows on The Discovery Times Channel on present Iraq.These shows are basically camera teams that have been wandering around Iraq since Sadam's removal.They have little commentary other than basic descriptions, and absolutely no opinions.They show the frequent gatherings by thousands of Iraqi people discussing their futures, And there is not a single american around.They show the smaller "city counsel" gatherings trying to restore power, water, etc and there isn't a single american around.They show the smoke shops where people sit and talk(able to express their opinions for once in their lives) and no americans around.They definately don't look "conquered".The only thing conquered in Iraq was tyranny.

If anything, for once in their lives, the Iraqi people have the strength and ability to help their own futures, their spirit is no longer broken by a murderous tyrannical regime.Honestly, its not really possible for us to force anything on the Iraqi people, where there are tens of millions of people with a new found spirit and power to make better lives for themselves and their families, there isn't a military on the face of this earth that could conquer that.

Bush made a decision and then made sure it was carried out.This is a very admirable quality in a president of the US, and not a quality that was common throughout history.This country was built by such action takers, not whining indecisive passive fucking pussy liberals.

For your information there has been Huge progress, but the fact is that stem cells are a newer discovery that we need to jump on and use it to the fullest. I am pro-choice, i believe it is a womans choice if she wants a child in this world or not, since when should the goverment decide whether a women can give up a child. if they get rid of abortion, sad but true mothers will go by other means of aborting. i know thats horrible to say but it is the truth. if we were to continue the research on stem cells there would be humoungeous effects on the way we live.
