I messed up my Hood yesterday When trying to work on installing a Front License plate.
So now I need to have it repainted. And I figure might as well get the whole car painted at the same time.
I just need a quick coat of paint so it all match's and then a clear coat. nothing fancy, no prep work other then over spray protections stuff.
Paints would be OEM White. so nothing fancy just stock.
Looking to spend under $400 all said and done. Anyone know someplace that does decent work, that I could trust not to Mess up my car.

I don't think you'll get a base coat/clear coat paint job anywhere for $400.The paint and clear alone will run close to $400(for decent quality). You could probably get a single stage(no clear) Maaco job for somewhere around that price though.

I think if you get it done for under $400 it will turn out like complete ass. If you want a decent job done they will have to sand the whole car down so the new paint will have something to stick to. I went to autobody class with this kid that worked at Abra and he said he could paint my hood on my Grand Prix for $150. Thats just the hood.

Probably will.
But right now it couldn't be much worste then what it looks like at this point. IF i had my spray Gun I'd fix the damn thing but I can't find it.

I know a guy that kicks ass, I have seen alot of his work A+ shit, he works for "Aero color". His Name is Brian ???? he is the only guy I like at Aero Color. I could set you up, PM me if you like for more info.
Check out Amazing Auto in Anoka. Some russian guys that do cheap body work. The only thing is that they can't do a whole car (lease problems). They could probably do the rest of the car to match your rear 1/4's and doors though.

As for paint prices
When I bought my Gun it was at an Autobody shop. And PPG paint in OEM White.
for my 1995 Eclipse only costs $80 (that's enough PPG paint to paint the entire car with 3 coats of paint)
add in the cost of thiners, etc - and it equaled $150 for materials for the paint.
I'm sure Clear coat is probably much more expensive. (hopefully only around $150)
so that's $300 - I was hopeing to just pay someone $100 for there Talents.
Hell I clear coat is what makes a paint job. I'd even paint the car myself if I had a paint booth to use. And just have them do the clear coat.

It's been a long time since I used PPG(5 years), but it cost me just under $300 for a gallon of good clear, ready to spray with catalyst/reducer.IIRC the clear itself was $230

Damn I knew it was expensive but didn't think that much.
Well today on Lunch break I went home and tried to wax the hood to see if it would take out the scratch marks from sanding..
And Maybe just maybe I'll get it to look 1/2 decent till I can afford a proper paint job.
What sucks is it took all of 2 minutes to get the overspray onto the hood. And it's taken oh about 4hrs to get it all off. Every finger tip has a blister on it now from sanding the crap off.
I tried all sorts of chemicals first but sanding seemed to be the only thing doing the trick so far.
