Took the top off and got icecream today with the family
My mom came with also that's her 2015 Honda Odyssey
14000 miles.
Already ordered up:
the uconnect piece to do hands free
the 1 missing plastic piece in the interior
Installed my ball hitch from the x5 that I had never took out the box
Also on a side note. The previous owner downloaded 44 pages of music to the player and they had awesome taste in music. It's like finding gold. Every time a new song comes on, my wife and I are like HOLY SHIT.

My brother flew down to Florida on Friday and got a new vehicle also. He stopped by to spend the night at my mom's. So I took a picture of the 2 new vehicles.
He does mission work on the Indian Reservation in South Dakota with his church. The bus is for them
Sorry about the bad pictures I cracked the lens on my phone last week

Tempted to put a pair of these or something similar in the jeep also. But might end up in the van.

So since it's now a "we can laugh about it now" story. I'll post it up for everyone's amusement.
So like 2 weeks ago my wife decides to take the kids and go hit some dirt trails with the jeep with the top off up by the lake and she came across a puddle which was bigger then she thought
I was at work....
And text me and said "don't be mad"
my response was "what happened"
And she sends me these pictures.
Notice the seats are covered in water and my daughter in mud. And not to happy about it.

So this week in preperation for my 40th birthday coming up where we are driving 4.5hrs to georgia to go camping I bought and installed 4 head rest dvd players from onfair.com (link posted a few posts ago, couldn't be happier with the purchase btw)
And I have been giving her crap all week about it because the kids want to rid in the van over her new jeep? And how cooler my van is to her jeep. Just to tease.
Well those of you who are married might know that sometimes women might take that to heart and want to prove you wrong. So.....
Today I have to work a 12hrs shift again and I get a message from my wife that says.
"Don't be mad" ...
reply - "what happened now"
"We're stuck"
Reply - Stuck? Stuck how?
Well I took the kids off roading (I'm assuming in an attempt to prove her jeep was cooler then the mini van)
And I hit a puddle that was bigger and deepe then I expected and now the jeep is stuck at a 45 degree angle
Reply - "you're kidding right?"....nope....send me picture to see what we're dealing with.
So I get this picture

Mind you the steps on this jeep are almost waste high.
Which means that puddle must be like 3 feet deep. The undercarriage is like 1 inch from scrapping the road.
So I explain to her over the phone how to put it onto 4wd low and how to hopefully get out. 30mins later she's finally out and sends me this picture of the "dryside of the jeep". This is the non puddle side. I don't even want to see what the puddle side actually looks like lol
But in the end they all made it home safe and the wife has been cleaning the underside of the jeep for the last 4hrs lol... says she's learned her lesson

Another funny side Story is. For mothers day I bought her a winch for the jeep. And if I'm off work planned to take her to an ORV park in upstate south Carolina where she get taught how to properly navigate obsticles, and how to get out of bad situations.

Installed the wife's christmas presents today so she could show them off to her family.
Halo projector headlights - stock jeep head lights suck they wouldn't even make a good night light for the kids room. So I upgraded and holy hell is it a difference. I literally flinched the first time she turned them on.
2nd part of her gift was a new front bumper. Going to more then likely get the matching rear for her birthday in February.
This jeep is probably the easiest vehicle I've ever worked on.
And don't mind my daughter she loved it so much she felt the urge to give it a hug. While pretending to be a baby tiger hence the make shift tail...lol
