And any wire will cocentrate the clamp load making a better seal. Many people use a copper oring with an mls gasket so something deforms. The phusions are near because they have a gas filled wire already in them. The gas in the wire makes them compressible. If the head lifts the oring will be able to grow a bit and maintain seal.

Update on the Subaru, well the engine and everything is in. Waiting on a couple more small parts to come this week then it will be time to start. More updates to come after breakin.

Started the car for the first time in 2 years and it was definitely a relief. Its 100% done and ready to rock we get it on the rollers this coming Thursday.

Little update now since the car has been running. Put up on the dyno and we maxed out my single walbro 450 intank pump. Car put out just shy of 600 whp at 485 tq. The car is no were near its full potential at this power level but just cant push it more with my fuel setup. This winter i plan on adding a surge tank along with dss axles all around with a triple disk clutch. Then we should be able to make some real power.

Ringlands in tact....tranny is holding up... Id call that some good streetable power...but if ya want more keep gunning!

Can confirm car spools very well, with insane transient response. Lol awesome sounds too.
