He isn't on here, but I'll ask and find out. He has 4 or 5 that we'll be bringing up, they I know for a fact they are not compatible with the cheapie 2-ways.

He said they're "special keyed digital" and not compatible with others. He has 6 of them though, so enough for our caravan up. I always put my phone # on the map packets too for everyone just in case.

Yup, crap. Don't worry about radios, we're bringing them along just for the roadtrip up to chat.
