The biggest thing that should be focused on is keeping this group of guys together regardless of what we're all currently driving. A lot of us met through Mitsus, but are not friends just because of Mitsus. Get what I mean?
I completely agree. I wish I could have gone to Whirleyball, but most importantly, spend time with fellow quality car guys and learn and chat with everybody and keep the community going.

Wow cry me a river. People have other things going on now days. Houses, babys, jobs, ect. There is no one new coming into Mitsus since they don't make any performance cars any more now with the death of the evo coming up. 90% of style has moved on to other cars no days.
If you were any more clueless they'd probably make a movie about you. You are kind of like that super crabby and mean old guy at the nursing home that no one wants to talk to but they do. Whats going to happen when you actually become that age??
The long time members of this board that you claim have all these important things to do other than car events are the ones that came to whirlyball.
I just wish you'd go away and stop trying to under mind myself and others trying to put on events. It is kind of pathetic.

Ok, now that everyone has spoken their minds, let's leave it at that please before I have to payban everyone in the name of Christmas' sake.
Here's what I see that needs to happen:
1. Keep discussion positive as that's what will drive the success of meets.
2. Let's focus on the group of car enthusiasts rather than just one specific make or model.
3. We need everyone's participation in events regardless of who organized it. If you organize an event, expect a higher turnout if you also attend events/meets put on by others.

I miss some of those big Mitsustyle dyno days. I remember filling up the DB parking lot a few times. We should have one again in 2015!!

I'll handle the 2015 cruises, I'll let Scheides handle the dyno day. I think a June date would be perfect though!

I have put on events and you have never came to one of them(Halloween party's,New Years party's,bbq's,cruises, ect). I don't under mind you or any one else on the board and I am a long time member and hang out every week with Chris s and a lot of the other guys on here. We hang out because we're all good friends and it has nothing to to about the cars.
You bring it on to your self when you complain that no one comes to your events then have to post about it in a wining way. If you would take a step back and really think about it people do have things going on in there lives and Aways don't have time to do events.
Ok I am done with this stupied shit and your wining.

I agree with Hughes that we all need to chill out a bit...
Me and Hughes telling people to chill? God, things HAVE changed.
Seriously though, this is a two-way street. The community is clique-y, and we can't change that. People are going to be friends with and go to events with the guys they always have. This is why EvoMN, MitsuStyle, and MN3/S stuff really doesn't have much crossover attendance, and it's just part of how it's going to be. Posting events alone really can't fix that, and if your audience is a group of people that's not interested in the activity or attendees, financially tied up in other things, or is busy with work or family, it's not going to take off.
Effectively, you can want to put on an event, which is awesome, and good on you, but the community also has to WANT that event, which is the hard part.

Worry not, we'll make up for it on the cruise!
