Marlo there's a IFO event that is just racing heads up for money on September 21st at Joilet Illinois if your interested!
I also think the people that are leaving on Sunday are the party people witch doesn't bother me. If you do see cars on trailers leaving it's usually because they broke.
Wonder if they want to create a bigger crowd to actually watch drag racing since not many people watch?

I don't see how people would want to party and then get up to race anyway.
Yes yes, who would want to do this? Seems like a horrible plan :)
Frankly I never think about this and its pretty amazing what I put myself through and furthermore how much I saw Brandon/Toothy drink Fri/Sat only to wake up and conquer the entire TTS field....unreal.
Live a little guys! Everything in moderation of course but this is still IMHO a great weekend event to have fun with friends and put the smack down on the entire BIR track. Yes, do take the next week (or two?) to recover. :)
Were drag racing results from 2014.1 ever posted? I did some searching and couldn't find anything.

Don't you have a tubular mani and 5858 now? I haven't seen your car in forever, so don't remember now.
SA/U, basically you just need to keep the factory inlet flange and that is it.
I have a cast manifold and a mitsu housed 5857.

Alright, we've gotten everything ironed out for Proving Grounds 2014.2. The biggest changes we've made this time around are that we're opening the gates early on Friday morning to offer racers more time on the track, for the same price! This is a huge value for folks that come up to race the entire weekend. We will also be running a "grudge style" race event for the first time on Sunday. This will be roll style racing, so it evens the odds for a lot of racers!

Roll racing sounds like a cool idea! I assume it'll be down the drag strip, will they still display trap speeds and light up the winner?

If saturday is qualifying time trials for sunday, would I be screwing people over since I'm not planning on going on sunday?

Opposite of Aarons question. If I come up Sunday morning and haven't made any qualifying pass can I compete in the eliminations?
