Hot. So. Much. Piping!!! :D
Brave pulling it apart before you have all the new stuff. If your stock turbos were ball bearing, they will spin very very freely--like when you shut the car off you may still be able to hear them spinning for up to a minute afterwards.

Made a lot more progress today. First took off the million screws for the diffuser and undertray. Then got to work on the front turbo, another huge PITA. But I got it all out, the downpipe for this one was wrapped.

I got everything unplugged from the motor, took off the intake manifold, got the injectors out, etc. I think I found the ECU right on the passenger side of the firewall, so next step is taking that out with the wiring harness.

On coil #1 I found a bunch of goop, so either there was water that got in there, or maybe an oil leak from the plug seal on the valve cover. Will have to investigate later. Also found a bunch of grime below the front valve cover near the cam sensor, so I might need a new gasket there too.

Tires so sticky they double as parts holders!

The tires are the new DSM valve cover (for purpose of holding stuff), they actually hold a lot of bolts and tools at once. I was using them as a temporary location while I took off a part. Once a step was complete, I put the bolts with that part somewhere in the garage.
Another thing I have added to the list is to fix the red bull can zip tied to the chassis (bottom left of last pic). The power steering reservoir doesn't have baffles, so if you're using sticky tires on the track, some will spill out on corners, so he did this make-shift mod to avoid spilling any on track (vacuum hose runs from reservoir cap to the can). I'll probably make something very similar, but just looks better. Someone makes a nice PS reservoir with baffles, but I think that's a little overkill for the 1-2oz that might spill out in a track day.

Car is back together. Boost controller is only set at 13psi right now, still made 422whp, and running in the 12.5:1 AFR range, so we shut it down early around 6k rpms. With more boost and some fuel, it should be pretty close to 500whp.
I'll get pics up next week. The Borg Warner's sound awesome spooling up, but it's weird not hearing a BOV when letting off the gas.

12.5:1 is a little leaner than I'd like for such a long cruise. I'll drive it around town until I can get it dialed in better. I don't have the handheld device to add 10% fuel or whatever, I have to mail my ECU or I'll most likely take a weekend road trip to Ohio to get a dyno tune.
I will be riding with someone from the TX caravan on this cruise.
