Just picked up this 97 tsi shell from South Dakota last night. The car is awd 5speed and has 101k miles. This car is pretty clean with almost no rust. It came without a motor, tranny, intercooler and exhaust. It only came with dsmlink v3, eprom ecu and a walboro 255.

The plan is to swap the 6 bolt from my 92 laser and run it stock until I gather all of the equipment to build it next spring. The plan is an oem build with 2g pistons and an evo3 turbo. This car will be my daily up at UMD until I figure out what I want to do.

I will keep you guys updated on the 6 bolt swap in the mean time. So far I still need to find an exhaust, tranny and xfercase, TPS, ps pump and bracket, a/c bracket and a front passenger axle. I will start tearing apart the laser tomorrow morning and post pics as I go. Enjoy! :split:

Update on the car. Goodbye laser, 6 bolt went in a few weeks ago. Just got her started Monday. Hopefully get the exhaust done and reset the link settings for stock injectors.

Only problem right now is that I can't connect to my ecu. A window always pops up and says that it can't find the port. Any advice?

Another thing. I went to hook up the vacuum lines for the fpr and the intake manifold and cant seem to find the fpr solenoid. Do I need one in order for the car to run good? Or will it cause bad idling/airfuel ratios?
